CHARITY COMIC 2026

Secret Identity is proud to announce that we are putting together a comic book in aid of CLAIRE HOUSE CHILDREN'S HOSPICE. 

Claire House Children’s Hospice helps seriously and terminally ill children make the most of the time they have however long or short that may be. By providing specialist nursing and end of life care, as well as emotional support Claire House helps families through some of the toughest times of their lives.

In order to raise funds for this amazing charity, we are putting together a comic book to be sold in our shop. Secret Identity will cover all printing costs, meaning that EVERY PENNY a customer spends on the comic will go to Claire House. 

The comic will be a collection of work of all styles and genres - we want every page to feel like something fresh!

Anyone can submit work for consideration, but here's the rules and some more info:

  • Please bear in mind this will be a small print run (circa 200 copies) to raise funds for a vital charity. Yes, it’s small numbers, but we are doing what we can to make a positive difference in our local community, while also involving those in the comic community who fancy being involved in the fun.
  • The comic will be sold at Secret Identity comic shop, Chester. 
  • The work must be sequential storytelling. 
  • Minimum of 3 panels (like a Snoopy strip)
  • Maximum of 2 pages. 
  • The comic will be standard American comic size
  • NO A.I. to be used. 
  • Original content only - no copyrighted material or characters.
  • Contributors will retain ownership of their own work, but by submitting agree for the piece to be potentially used in the comic. 
  • Entrants must be at least 18 years old.
  • All genres are accepted, but please no strong sexual content. 
  • Greyscale only (black and white)
  •  No fee can be paid. We realise that artists need to earn a living like the rest of us, but please bear in mind that this is a fun, voluntary project in aid of charity. The shop is covering all production costs, meaning we are making a significant loss, but is for a cause we heartily support and believe in. 
  • Please feel free to add your name, socials, email etc to the work so people can find you.
